Edda Norden Network

EDDA Norden is a network for Nordic and Baltic Higher Art Education institutions, and it functions under Nordplus. EDDA Norden Network includes 16 members from Nordic and  Baltic countries. Aalto University is the coordinator for the EDDA Norden network and controller for personal data.

What kind of personal data do we process?

We process the personal data submitted by applicant in the grant application process.

From the website visitors, we collect personal data when visitors leave comments on the site. We collect the data shown in the comments form. After approval of your comment, the picture you have uploaded is visible to the public in the context of your comment. If you upload images, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can extract any location data from images on the website.

Purpose and legal ground for processing personal data

Students and teachers from Edda Norden network can apply for a mobility grant. Aalto University  administers  grants for mobility from the Nordic ministry Nordplus programme for  EDDA Norden Network. Aalto University is controller for personal data and processes the personal data in order to administer the grants.

Legal ground for processing is legitimate interest to administer mobility grants and to provide communications about the EDDA Norden network on the http://eddanorden.com website.

Data storing and security

All supporting documents related to mobility grants are kept for a minimum of five years after the project is completed in the event of an audit. Documents related to mobility grants are stored securely on Aalto University servers and IT systems.

If you leave a comment, the comment is published by you.  All users can see, edit, or delete their comment at any time. Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. This information will be stored for one year.

Sharing your personal data with others

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

Aalto University shares the sums of grants, time of mobility, university of origin and university visited as well as the age of recipients as statistical data with the Finnish main administrator of Nordplus Higher Education, the Finnish National Agency for Education EDUFI. EDUFI may carry out inspections of documents related to mobility grants.

Aalto University uses Microsoft Teams to store and process information.

What rights you have over your data

You can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
